P.J. Muntendam arm chair

Lounge chair designed by P.J. Muntendam for Gebr. Jonkers in 1950's. Beautifully woven rattan back and painted red wood frame with original skai upholstered seat. Worn black leather sling armrests. The chair is professionally restored with preservation of authenticity.

The chair is a fine example of Dutch post-war "Goed Wonen" philosophy which recommended fresh, bright and spacious furniture.
Gebr. Jonkers was a manufacturer most well-known for their iconic pieces in woven rattan. Their factory was based in Noordwolde from 1929-1982.
