Løvig Nielsen/Quistgaard Flip Top Desk

An elegant and sleek and innovative desk with a flip-top by Peter Løvig Nielsen, Denmark, 1960s. The desk is also attributed to Jens Quistgaard for Løvig. Beautiful and functional design. Made of solid teak wood and teak veneer with a beautiful wood grain, finished with brass hinges. The desk features a stepped-up top for a single workspace for one. The top is hinged and flips down to expand the work surface to accommodate a two-person workspace in a partner desk style. When the top has been put down, it adds 23 cm in depth for more work space or, in smaller apartments, it could also be used as a dining table. The piece has been professionally refinished with a UV and water protective lacquer and is in excellent condition.
