Wim Den Boon mobile storage unit 1960

Unique freestanding mobile storage unit for books and documents, designed by Dutch architect Wim Den Boon, the Netherlands 1960. This mobile storage unit on castors contains four drawers and a cupboard with two shelves and is designed as a part of a complete set of office furniture. A practical addition for the office that offers a lot of storage space. A clever design. The set was designed in 1960 for the office of a client in Dutch residential city of The Hague. The design is registered and documented in the Dutch National Architecture Institute (NAI). We have a copy of original drawing with den Boons archive number K 415-9. This well-made storage unit is made of solid wenge wood. Like on the matching monumental desk from this set of furniture, the top is covered with the original black skai leather which is still in very good condition.

To preserve the monumental aspect of this important set of design furniture, it would be preferable to sell the storage unit together with the matching desk and chairs. Please see the pictures and description of the other pieces in our website.
