Pair of black leather hunting chairs, Germany 1950s

A pair of sculptural Hunting chairs in black leather and stained oak, Germany, 1950s. These Hunting chairs show a very elegant and minimal design with great woodworking. A great open character is created by the beautiful trapezium shapes and tapered lines of the chairs. Apart from the nicely made wood-joints, the cord weaving beneath the seat is beautifully exposed in the wooden frame and shows the stitches trough the oak frame. In design and quality these chairs show great resemblance to the chairs of Uno & Osten Kristiansson. The chairs are reupholstered with a beautiful quality black aniline leather and are in excellent condition. The foam inside the cushions is renewed.
