Italian round dining table rosewood, ca. 1965

Elegant Italian dining table, in steel and rosewood, from the 1960s. Round pedestal dining table. A circular rosewood tabletop. The base is formed of four steel feet which are separated by very elegant rosewood supports. They combine into a beautiful star-shaped base. The pedestal construction is nicely visible because the top is only supported on four points. This gives the table an amazing elegant and light appearance. The rosewood tabletop is 3 cm thick and has recently been restored. It’s finished with a UV and Water protective lacquer. A modern and Industrial centerpiece to every interior. The manufacturing of this table shows great resemblance to the steel and wooden tables of the Italian designers Ignazio Gardella and Ico Parisi. Another comparison can be made with the tables of Belgian designer Jules Wabbes.
