Poul Kjaerholm pair of PK22 lounge chairs, Denmark 1955

A pair of PK22 lounge chairs designed by Poul Kjearholm, Denmark 1955. This pair of black leather PK 22 lounge chairs is acquired from the first owner, who first bought one chair, in 1979. This chair is marked with the EKC (E Kold Christensen) stamp beneath the seating. The chair is in good condition, with a beautiful patine and normal wear to the leather cover of the seating. Edges still sturdy and no tears in the leather. The chair frame is in good condition. Original plastic buttons. The second chair was bought by the former owner in 1982. This means this chair is one of the first chairs with the Fritz Hansen stamp. Although the chair has no cracks or tears, the leather seating cover is in worn vintage condition and the original buttons are replaced. Apparantly the former owners cat was quite fond of the chair as well. The frame has some rusty spots. High res images on request. Since the chairs have been used for decades as a pair, the leather has the same user patina, which is still very nice. The chairs are available as a pair, but priced separately according to condition and edition.
