David Rosén Futura dining table

Early modernist dining table from the Futura series designed by David Rosén and manufactured by Nordiska Kompaniet, Stockholm Sweden, 1952. This incredibly well designed table is made of an exceptional combination of three types of wood. The top made of mahogany, the monumental base is made of solid beech wood. The edge of the table top finished with a birch wooden rim. Large brass bolts connecting the base to the top. The table can be extended from Ø 120 cm up to 240 cm by two extra leaves which have a width of 60 cm each. The base and structure of the table are all made of thick solid wood. Two integrated feet support the table when it is extended to the full width.

Marked with manufacturers label on top of the base and stamped with production date 18 nov. 1952.

The table would be an outstanding addition to any modern interior. When extended it could easily have ten to twelve people sitting around it. In excellent condition. The table is fully restored and resprayed with UV-and water protective lacquer.
