Berlin daybed by Bruno Mathsson, Sweden 1957

A birch wood Berlin daybed designed by Bruno Mathsson, Sweden 1957. This iconic Scandinavian daybed is known as the Berlin daybed, since it was first shown in 1957 at the International Building Exhibition in Berlin. The bed frame is slightly elevated at the headboard and features skillfully bent tapered legs and raised edges. The daybed has its original finish and is signed “Bruno Mathsson design Made in Sweden”.
The mattress has recently been upholstered with a beautiful boucle wool, we added the cushion.
