Angelo Mangiarotti Lesbo table lamp for Artemide Italy 1967

An early edition model Lesbo table lamp designed by Angelo Mangiarotti for Artemide, Italy 1967. The light comes in fully original condition with the original switch. The lamp features a solid cast aluminium base -without the Artemide logo as per the first edition of the light- and features the slightly different features of the 1st edition. The concept behind Angelo Mangiarotti’s Lesbo lamp was to “evoke architecture as a pool of water”. The light is one of the Italian design style symbols during the 1970s. The light is handblown, featuring white frosted and clear glass shade which allows for a subtle shift in the quality of the light.
