Remarkable minimalist wall or ceiling light Model 232 designed by Bruno Gatta for Stilnovo, Italy 1954
The light features an ivory white lacquered shade and a black enameled stem and an ivory white wall mounting cap witch comes with the original black screws. The large ivory white shade spreads a beautiful and soft light into the room.
The lamp is in very good original condition. Checked and cleaned.

Italian lighting manufacturer Stilnovo was founded by designer Bruno Gatta in 1946 in Lainate, an industrial suburb of Milan. After the second world war Italy was focused on rebuilding under conditions of scarcity. With Stilnovo, Bruno Gatta dedicated himself to the production of innovative lighting that embodies rationalist form-follows-function principles.
