Artimeta produced a wide range of modernist products and lamps in the 1950s and 1960s. The company was known for producing modern furniture in metal. Amongst others, Mathieu Matégot designed products for this Dutch company for a period of time during the 1950s. Floris Fiedeldij clearly got inspired from this collaboration. Fiedeldij can be regarded as one of the most progressive and modern designers of Dutch Mid-Century modernism.
