Hans Wegner early CH-28 chairs, Denmark 1951

Amazing and rare pair of early lounge chairs model CH-28 chairs designed by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen, Denmark 1951. Beautiful old chairs in solid oak and teak plywood with wonderful wood grain and patina. Smooth clean lines and finished with visible wooden buttons. A typical Wegner design; sculptural, functional and exceptionally comfortable. The CH-28 displays Wegners remarkable sense of form and his experimental nature. A Classic Danish modern icon. This pair is from a very early edition, bought by the first owner in 1952. One chair had a small restoration in the past, hardly visible. The condition of the chairs is very good with only minor traces of wear from use and age.
