Ico Parisi terni executive desk in walnut for Mim Roma, Italy 1958

A stunning Terni executive desk designed by Ico Parisi in 1958 for MIM (Mobili Italiani Moderni), Rome, Italy. This elegant executive desk is made of beautifully warm walnut with aluminium details. The curved desktop is floating above the solid walnut X-shaped legs. The sculptural legs provide a great open appearance and show outstanding eye for detail and proportions. The legs have aluminium details underneath the desk top and have aluminium caps on the feet. The desk accessories comprise an extending double sided drawer unit and a single shallow drawer to the underside of the desk top. An accompanying secretary’s extension piece with small drawer is included with the desk and can be mounted as a return desk. The bolts are not visible when the extension is not used.
Marked with manufacturers label on the inside of two drawers and on one of the legs.
The desk is in excellent condition, it’s recently entirely restored and finished with a UV and water protective lacquer.
