Mario Botta Shogun floor lamp for Artemide, Italy 1986

Monumental floor lamp Shogun designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta for Artemide, Italy 1986. The Shogun floor lamp was designed in 1986 and is no longer in production. The white shaft with black and white striped details is still in very good condition and not discolored. Cast iron base. Two curved perforated shades can be pivoted to create beautiful variations and patterns in light and shadow. Botta’s designs tend to include a strong sense of geometry, often being based on very simple shapes, yet creating unique volumes of space. Excellent condition.
